What causes acne?
Acne is one of the most common skin conditions people suffer with. The acne bacteria is called Cutibacterium and this normally lives within healthy skin but if this normal skin is disrupted then bacteria can multiply and therefore contributes to the development and worsening of acne. This can be as a result of a variety of factors: Excess oil and dead skin cells; bacteria clogging and infecting follicles, hormonal conditions/imbalances; genetic factors and external factors such as products used on the face, smoking, diet, lifestyle and stress.
Are there any side effects to this treatment?
There are minimal to no side effects of this treatment and is one of the gentlest ways to treat conditions with very effective results.
How long does it take to see results?
6-8 treatments is usually what is advised to see desired effects depending on the severity of the condition being treated.
How can I maintain results post-treatment?
